has glosseng: The 2001 Angola train attack occurred on August 10, 2001 when a passenger train hit an anti-tank mine placed by UNITA rebels on the track in Angola. After its derailment, rebels attacked the passengers with gunfire. In total, 252 people were killed of the 500 who were onboard. The attack occurred about 150 km (95 miles) south-east of the capital, Luanda, as the train was heading for the town of Dondo, in Cuanza Norte Province. On 16 August 2001, members of the United Nations Security Council strongly condemned the attack,calling it a "terrorist attack".
