has gloss	eng: The Abadan refinery is located in Abadan near the coast of the Persian Gulf. It was completed in 1912 and was one of world's largest oil refineries when it was destroyed in 1980 by Iraq in the Iraq-Iran war. The refinery had a capacity of 635,000 b/d in 1980 and formed a refinery complex with important petrochemical plants. Its capacity has been increased steadily since the war ended in 1988. Its capacity is now listed as 400,000 bbl/d crude oil.

has gloss	ara: مصفاة عبادان مصفاة نفط إيرانية تقع في مدينة عبادان جنوب محافظة خوزستان ، أكتمل بناء المصفاة عام 1912 وكانت المصفاة عام 1980 تكرر 630,000 برميل من نفط يومياً أي مايعادل 65% من طاقة إيران التكريرية لتكون أكبر مصفاة نفط بالعالم بعد نشوب الحرب الإيرانية العراقية تضررت المصفاة بشكل كبيرة وتوقفت عن العمل بعد فترة قصيرة من نشوب الحرب، و منذ العام 1988 خضعت المصفاة لسلسلة من الإصلاحات لرفع قدرتها التكريرية.
