has gloss	jpn: アングリッシュ（Anglish）は英語の一種で、フランス語、ラテン語、ギリシア語等の歴史的な借用語を取り除きゲルマン語に由来する単語に置き換えた英語。言語純化運動の一環として散発的に試みられている。パンチ雑誌ポール・ジェニングズ（Paul Jennings）が1966年に雑誌「パンチ」でノルマン・コンクェスト900周年を記念して外来語を用いないようにした文を書いている。
