has gloss | eng: Atlanta Hip Hop is the hip hop music of Atlanta, Georgia. Atlanta initially came to prominence in the mid-1990s with groups such as OutKast, Goodie Mob, TLC, and Xscape. The city became particularly ascendant in the hip hop scene in the first decade of the 21st century. Ludacris, Lil Jon, T.I., Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, D4L, and Ying Yang Twins all became famous during the decade. In 2010, Adult Swim released ATL RMX, which included remixes of Atlanta MCs such as Shawty Lo and OJ da Juiceman by alternative hip hop producers. Some Atlanta rappers have been criticized for their less-sophisticated lyrical rhyme schemes. |
