It is colourless and easy flowing and is thin in the body. This rum is mostly used to make cocktails calling for a white rum such as Cuba Libre, Daiquiri, Piña Colada, and Bacardi cocktail. The Bacardi Company has a storied history, with its foundation taking place in Cuba and later moving to Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. Even though the headquarters has changed locations, the rum is still made using basically the same recipe from the past. The only things that have changed are the filtering and aging processes. Other common Bacardi rum grades are Oro (Gold) and Black. |
