The assembly remained active until the Soviet Russian military intervention brought Georgia’s three-year independence to an end in March 1921.

Se valittiin vaaleilla helmikuussa 1919 ratifioimaan lain Georgian itsenäisyydestä ja laatimaan maalle uuden perustuslain. Kokous toimi aktiivisesti, kunnes Neuvosto-Venäjän puna-armeijan hyökkäys teki lopun Georgian kolmivuotisesta itsenäisyydestä maaliskuussa 1921.
