As part of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) domain (“ETH-Bereich”) it is an institution of the Swiss federation. After its foundation in 1936 it concentrated on wastewater treatment. Since 1988 it has developed into a research and development institute. Nowadays, 400 people do research in the locations in Dübendorf and Kastanienbaum. |
