It was released somewhat at the same time as the second single "What We Do Here". The songs have not made much impact on the charts; "What We Do Here" only reached the Top 40 and stayed there for two weeks. "Everytime You Go Away" is a smooth ballad that has his signature Quiet Storm sound but has a guitar riff which is foreign to the McKnight style.
