Its focus lies primarily on role-playing games (pen-and-paper as well as freeform and live-action), card games, board games and miniature wargames. In recent years, attendance has varied between 1 300 and 1 800 visitors each year, with the convention hosted at Hvitfeldtska gymnasiet. According to the convention organizers, GothCon is not only Swedens largest, it is also the worlds oldest continuously running gaming convention.
