has gloss	eng: iPassConnect is mobility software produced by iPass in 1999 which allows mobile devices such as laptop computers, PDAs, and other internet enabled devices (iPod Touch) to connect to the Internet over Wi-Fi hotspots, Ethernet, Dialup, and mobile broadband network services such as HSUPA, EVDO, 1xRTT, GPRS and UMTS. The Wi-Fi services are available in hotels and airpors across the world allowing traveling individuals to access the Internet without paying per-location fees. The software validates the authentication of a hotspot and then encrypts a user's authentication data.
