Ingleside is one of the oldest and largest wineries in the state. The of vineyards are part of a estate which has been owned by the Flemer family for over a hundred years. The proprietor is the great-great grandson of Charles H. Flemer who established Ingleside in 1890. The Ingleside estate was built in 1834 as Washington Academy, a boys' school. It also served as a Civil War garrison, a courthouse, and a dairy.
