| has gloss | eng: Left-Right is the name of a chant of support by fans of the University of Florida Gators, an NCAA Division I baseball team, in use for over 15 years. The entire chant is: "Left! Right! Left! Right!..." (repeated as the opposing batter walks back to the dugout - matching each step that the batter takes with either his left or right foot); As the batter walks down the steps (if present) each step is acknowledged with a "Step!" Once the steps are completed, the chant is completed with a long and hearty "Sit Down!" (followed by a "Next!?" - call for the next batter). This is typically not done with the 3rd strikeout of the inning as the batter is most likely to be taking the field. |
