has gloss | eng: Route 21 Genesee County Route 21 is an east-west route located in the Towns of Darien and Alexander. CR 21 begins its west end at the Erie County Line at Erie CR 166 (North Rd.) From there Route 21 proceeds east through Darien as Sumner Road, passing north of Darien Lakes State Park just before intersecting New York State Route 77 (Alleghany Rd.) at 3.76 miles. As CR 21 crosses NY 77, it passes directly south along Darien Lake Theme Park Resort. When Route 21 reaches the intersection of Walker and Simonds Roads at 6.39 miles, CR 21 turns north to run along Simonds Road for a short distance before turning east on Bennett Road to resume its eastern track. Not long after, CR 21 reaches the intersection of Ridge Road, and once again changes names, this time named Dodgeson Road as the route proceeds east. From here County Route 21 begins to head in a more northeasterly direction now through the Town of Alexander. CR 21 finally reaches its east end at New York State Route 98 (Alexander Rd.) at 12.81 miles. |
