has gloss	eng: Mahali is the name of a tribe of India. It is a scheduled tribe of the state of West Bengal and Orissa. They mostly reside in areas adjoining to Santhal Parganas in Orissa and West Bengal. Munda Mahali people forms a different tribe which is clubbed together with the Munda tribe. They basically speak Santali language, but in some place they differentiate Mahali language from Santali.
