The leader of the Mandalorians typically takes on the title of "Mandalore", the name of their home planet. They have been the subject of various books and action figure sets, including The Mandalorian Armor by K.W. Jeter and Hasbro's Star Wars Elite Forces figure sets Mandalorians & Omega and Republic Mandalorians & Clone Troopers. Karen Traviss, author of Hard Contact, expanded "the Mandalorian culture" for the novel, as explained in Star Wars on Trial. Mandalorians commonly appear in Star Wars comic books as cocky, boastful, and dangerous bounty hunters, the leader of which is Boba Fett.
