Information
has glosseng: A punch down tool, also called a punchdown tool or a krone tool (after wiring systems manufacturer ADC KRONE), is a small hand tool used by telecommunications and network technicians. Its purpose is to terminate cable runs and cross-connect jumpers at 110 blocks, 66 blocks and patch panels. Most punch down tools are of the impact type, consisting of a handle, an internal spring mechanism, and a slotted blade. For light-duty use there are also less expensive fixed-blade type punch down tools which lack the impact mechanism.
