Information
has glosseng: Radio Diamonds 1503am is a radio station based at Nene Park Football Stadium, in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire home of Rushden & Diamonds Football Club, offering music, chat, and live commentary. The station has been in existence since the 1995/1996 season, but has since been stopped and restarted due to financial difficulties within the football club, when club founder, long-term chairman and head of Dr. Martens shoe empire Max Griggs left the club. This meant that players, staff, and directors had to either take huge pay-cuts, or leave, and resulted in the end of many different parts of the club having to be closed, this meant there was only a matter of time before the radio station was closed. Radio Diamonds was eventually re-started during pre-season in 2006/2007.
