The term magic drum is an old judicial term for a rune drum in use from the 16th to the 19th century. In that period the use of a "rune drum" was considered to be a serious crime and the accused was often sentenced to death.

has gloss	bul: Рун е музикален перкусионен инструмент от групата на мебранофонните. Представлява церемониален инструмент подобен на барабан, който се използва при ритуалите на лапландците. От 16-ти до 19-ти век използването на руна се е считало за тежко престъпление и обвиненият е бил осъждан на смърт. До наши дни са се запазили само около 70 от тези музикални инструмента.
