has gloss	deu: Eine Sonderausgabe (auch als Sammleredition oder Luxusausgabe bezeichnet) ist ein hauptsächlich zur Steigerung des Wertgefühls verschiedener Produkte verwendeter Begriff. Ursprünglich zumeist bei Kunstwerken, Büchern, Drucken, Musikaufnahmen oder Filmen eingesetzt, wurde dieses Prinzip auch von anderen Branchen aufgegriffen, wie etwa von der Automobilindustrie. Die Produkte unterscheiden sich meist durch eine oder mehrere Besonderheiten (Extras) von der standardmäßigen Ausführung. Zum Teil wird auch Identisches zu einem höheren Preis – in anderer Verpackung – angeboten. Aber auch der umgekehrte Fall ist möglich. So gibt es Produkte die vereinfacht oder gekürzt werden, um diese zu einem günstigeren Preis anbieten zu können. Dies ist eine gängige Praxis um etwa die Auflage zu steigern.
