It is a collection of international, original, R&B, pop-soul songs — written by a range of writers including Paulini herself since she feels she had more control over this album. Superwoman debuted outside the top fifty on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart, and sales fell considerably short of those of Paulini's debut album, One Determined Heart (2004). The singles released from the album were not major hits, "Rough Day" peaking in the top thirty in Australia and "So Over You" just peaking in the top fifty.
