| has gloss | eng: The Loyolean is the official newspaper of Loyola School, Jamshedpur. It was first published in the year 1992 by its founding editorial team comprising of Deepak Jha as the editor along with Marian Francis ,Kavita Guha and the students of the XIICommerce Section in the editorial team. The Loyolean replaced the defunct "Jai Loyola" which had stopped circulation in the early 80's.The Loyolean was started due to the keen interest shown by the students of XII Commerce 1993 batch who were encouraged and supported by the then iconic principal Rev Father Eric Cassel. The newspaper was started under the banner of the Loyola Press Club. Keeping the tradition of having teacher as a Moderator for all club activities, Mrs Leela Ghose was the first moderator of the LPC which published The Loyolean. The LPC was given a room next to the Drum & Bugle Core (DBC) or Band room in the annexe where the new primary wing has come up. The XII th Commerce batch continued to print the newspaper for almost 2 years after which it was handed over the the Science sections. |
