has gloss	eng: Thin Layer Extraction (TLX) is an intensive, periodic form of Liquid-liquid extraction. Thin Layer extraction aims at overcoming an inherent limitation of conventional Liquid-Liquid Extraction as carried in mixer-settler trains or in extraction columns, namely: the necessity to break up one of the phases as small droplets into the other to attain sufficient mass transfer which then requires a difficult and lengthy process of phase separation.
