Das Zingulum kann ein einfacher Strick sein, ein Ledergürtel oder als Stoffband mit dem Skapulier verbunden sein. Bei Klerikern ist es ein breites Band aus edlem Stoff. So trägt ein Priester ein schwarzes, ein Bischof ein violettes, ein Kardinal ein scharlachrotes und der Papst ein weißes Zingulum um seine Soutane. Gelegentlich tragen auch Ministranten ein farbiges Zingulum, das jedoch wie das Messgewand des Priesters der liturgischen Farbe des Tages entspricht. Die Allgemeine Einführung ins Messbuch sieht unter Nr. 81 c vor, dass alle, die eine Albe tragen, auch Schultertuch und Zingulum verwenden können. |
