Formally, it is known as Shir Hakavod (שיר הכבוד, lit. "Song of Glory"), but it is often referred to as anim zemirot, after the first two words of the poem.

has gloss	heb: שיר הכבוד, המכונה גם אנעים זמירות, לפי פתיחתו, הוא פיוט מבית מדרשם של חסידי אשכנז, שנכתב ב או ה-12 על ידי פייטן אנונימי. שתי סיבות יש לשם השיר. הראשונה שבעבר נהגו לומר לפניו את הפסוק , והשנייה משום שהוא עוסק בכבוד הבורא.
