Its research focuses on Israeli foreign policy in general, and --- in particular --- on Israels rights under International Law in the context of the Arab-Israeli conflict. According to the organizations website, the JCPA "focuses on the main issues affecting Israels security and international standing in order to wage the war of ideas in global opinion" and "has developed and implemented an array of cutting-edge programs to present Israels case to the world". The organization was founded in 1976 by Daniel J. Elazar, and is now headed by Dore Gold, an Israeli statesman. Gold has represented Israel in several diplomatic posts and served as adviser to prime ministers Ariel Sharon and Benjamin Netanyahu. |
